It has been requested by members of the community in the Broughton & Scawby area of ways to report the police, please see below;

📞 How to Report Information to the Police

We rely on information from the public to help keep our communities safe. Knowing how and when to report makes a real difference.

Use 999 if:

A crime is happening now

Someone is in immediate danger

There is a serious threat to life

A suspect is on scene or nearby

📍 Try to give clear details: location, descriptions, and what is happening.

Use 101 to report:

Suspicious behaviour not happening right now

Crime that has already happened

Ongoing issues such as antisocial behaviour

To pass on information or updates

📞 Available 24/7.

You can also report non‑emergency issues online:

Minor crimes

Antisocial behaviour

Submit information or evidence

👉 Visit your local police force website and use the online reporting option.

If you want to report information anonymously:

You do not have to give your name, and your details are never traced.

If you’re unsure whether it’s an emergency, call 101.
If there’s an immediate risk, always call 999.
